#17524 closed defect (worksforme)

BB RC3 @ WBMR - If 3G modems are plugged in -before- the boot procedure, no /dev/ttyUSB* are created.

Reported by: angelos Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: kernel Version: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Keywords: WBMR ttyUSB Cc:

I just installed Barrier Breaker RC3 on my WBMR-HP-G300H.
It works pretty nice, except from this issue:

No /dev/ttyUSB* devices are created at/after boot, if my 3G USB modems are plugged in -before- the boot procedure.

If I unplug and plug the modems again, the ttyUSB* devices are created just fine.
Or if I plug the modems -after- the boot procedure, everything is OK.

This was not happening in Barrier Breaker RC2 or earlier.
Please do something to fix it.

Thank you.

Problem solved.

I had to run manually

/etc/init.d/usbmode enable
