#16684 new defect

lzma-loader fails on TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND v1

Reported by: daniel@… Owned by: developers
Priority: highest Milestone:
Component: packages Version: Trunk
Keywords: ar71xx lzma-loader tl-wr1043nd Cc:

sysupgrade to a current snapshot reliably bricks the device and devices are stacking up on my doorstep

## Booting image at bf020000 ...
Uncompressing Kernel Image ... Error: inflate() returned -3
GUNZIP ERROR - must RESET board to recover

this applies to all manual builds I made as well as to the current builds as found on*

interestingly, an initramfs generated by the same build DOES work

I upgraded one of my devices to r40896 (the snapshot from day before) and experienced no problems.

does this still happen in current versions, or was it just a temporary bad build?

it seems to be 50% reproduceable, when you flash in a failsafe-session.

still there with r47106 on 1043nd v1.8
initramfs works, but sysupgrade fails.
CC 15.05 is running well
