#16637 new defect

Combined disk has partitions that ends after disk end

Description

Hello,

In AA, I generated a combined ex4 disk and got this result:

Disk openwrt-x86-xen_domu-combined-ext4.img: 55 MB, 55008768 bytes
16 heads, 63 sectors/track, 106 cylinders, total 107439 sectors
Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x00000000

                                 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
openwrt-x86-xen_domu-combined-ext4.img1   *          63        9071        4504+  83  Linux
openwrt-x86-xen_domu-combined-ext4.img2            9135      107855       49360+  83  Linux

Note that 107855 is greater than 107439. Also, there is a white space between part1 and part2 (between 9071 and 9135) that should not exists.

For BB, this is better:

Disk openwrt-x86-xen_domu-combined-ext4.img: 55 MB, 55050240 bytes, 107520 sectors
Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk label type: dos
Disk identifier: 0x00000000

                            Dispositivo Boot Start End Blocks Id System
openwrt-x86-xen_domu-combined-ext4.img1   *         512        8703        4096   83  Linux
openwrt-x86-xen_domu-combined-ext4.img2            9216      107519       49152   83  Linux

The partition 2 end is not over the disk limit. However, there is still white space between partitions.

Current fdisk tool deny me to create partitions that starts before 2048 block

Partition number (1-4, default 1): 1
First sector (2048-204799, default 2048):

This is because of http://superuser.com/questions/352572/why-does-the-partition-start-on-sector-2048-instead-of-63

Shouldn't openwrt follow this (start at 1MB) instead of adopting 512?
