#16622 new defect

BUILD_BUG_ON() for solos-pci.c

Reported by: linus.luessing@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: kernel Version: Attitude Adjustment 12.09
Keywords: solos atm pci callback Cc: Gabor, Juhos, <juhosg@…>

Trying to build the 3.3.8 kernel results in the following error for me:

drivers/atm/solos-pci.c: In function 'solos_pci_init':
drivers/atm/solos-pci.c:1484:2: error: size of unnamed array is negative

Which is caused due to the following BUILD_BUG_ON():

BUILD_BUG_ON(sizeof(struct solos_skb_cb) > sizeof(((struct sk_buff *)0)->cb));

Which again is triggered due to an OpenWRT specific patch:

"AA: kernel: Add ATM fixes pending upstream merge (queue reduction, race fixes)"
git: 8fac546cd7c54687a4a201a90a1ca84d3f7a3ce7
svn: 34413

This patch adds a "struct completion c" to "struct solos_skb_cb" resulting in this struct not fitting into the private, reserved skb callback field anymore.

Even though this nearly two years old patch claims "pending upstream merge", I can't find it in any Linux release.
