reboot hanging on WRT610Nv1 on actual trunk

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: hauke
Priority: high Milestone: Chaos Calmer 15.05
Component: base system Version: Trunk
Keywords: WRT610Nv1 REBOOT HANGING Cc:

Description

Since the last trunk-revisions, the "reboot" is no longer working on the WRT610nV1 (using TG3 network-support instead bgmac!):

root@develope:/# reboot

procd: - shutdown -
br-lan: port 3(wl1) entered disabled state
br-lan: port 2(wl0) entered disabled state
br-lan: port 1(eth0.1) entered disabled state
device eth0.1 left promiscuous mode
device eth0 left promiscuous mode
br-lan: port 1(eth0.1) entered disabled state
tg3 0000:01:00.0 eth0: Link is down
device wl0 left promiscuous mode
br-lan: port 2(wl0) entered disabled state
device wl1 left promiscuous mode
br-lan: port 3(wl1) entered disabled state
procd: - reboot -Restarting system.

Please stand by while rebooting the system...

And here it hungs finally and never soft reboot...
... hardware on/off is the only way...

Things i tested:

  • diabled WLAN-propitary
  • disbled daemons running in background before the reboot
  • disabled "switch reset" in the network-config, but with

disabled "switch-reset" i got at cold boot a coredump/oops

Nothing changed. I see this hangs only on the TG3-based devices, not the V2-Series or other E-Series, using bgmac-drivers.

The Reason for not soft rebooting is unknown for me.

I see the same behavior, but may not be related.
When I do that, sometimes the bootloader has a brain freeze moment, until I power cycle the box.

I tried as well with the wifi disable, to reboot -f, it still happens, randomly.
