#1654 accepted defect

ar7-2.6 - Unable to edit ADAM2 environment variables on DG834Gv2

Reported by: KillaB Owned by: nico
Priority: low Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: base system Version:
Keywords: ar7 dg834g Cc: ejka

I'm pretty sure I was able to modify environment variables in the 2.4 builds. Wether it was via /proc/sys/dev/adam2/environment or simply /proc/environment I can't remember.

Any chance of having this support added? It makes having a serial cable essential for adding modulation mode or modifying mtd info if not done prior to flashing Kamikaze. Unless of course you can do this through the ADAM2 FTP session?

Currently running r7038.

My assumption was wrong at least in r3629:

Could someone please change this from defect to enhancement. Thanks.

No fix for this? I have a netgear DG834Gv3 that does not allow access to ADAM2, and therefore there is no way to change the config.

Alternatively, a user-space application that can parse and modify the raw config partition would be useful too.

Bah, the antispam thinks this is spam. Adding some text to avoid that
