i just recompiled it for ar71xx and i get

checking for XMLRPC-C... ok

Which arch are you using?

Also try to clean your build and staging dir and
post the ouput of "grep CONFIG_PACKAGE_xmlrpc-c .config"

Hello. I'm using ar71xx too (TL-WDR3600).
Here's the part of the config:

$ cat .config | grep xmlrpc-c
CONFIG_PACKAGE_xmlrpc-c=y
# CONFIG_PACKAGE_xmlrpc-c-abyss is not set
# CONFIG_PACKAGE_xmlrpc-c-client is not set
CONFIG_PACKAGE_xmlrpc-c-common=y
CONFIG_PACKAGE_xmlrpc-c-internal=y
CONFIG_PACKAGE_xmlrpc-c-server=y
# CONFIG_PACKAGE_xmlrpc-c-server-abyss is not set

I've attached a full .config file.
Just tried to build from scratch (package feed revision e11b743) - an error still occurs.
