So after this change how do we specify 802.11n?

Are you looking for only "n" or what?
40718 shows quite normally bgn for 2.4 GHz in my 3800.
And g+n mode is available in Luci.

Replying to anonymous:

So after this change how do we specify 802.11n?

theoretecaly, after #40681 & #40693
Luci need string like
option ht_capab 'ieee80211n=1'
in /etc/config/wireless for proper work with 40MHz channel

How do I fix this? It's for 5GHZ too?

same problem with me with TL-901ND v2 and v3. Flashed custom built trunk pulled today and can only see auto,b,g options in luci.

  • Owner changed from developers to jow
  • Status changed from new to accepted

This is due a recent change in the wifi config layout which luci is not prepared for yet.
LuCI will use the now removed "ht_capab" option as indicator whether 11n is supported, so set it to some dummy value like this:

uci set wireless.radio0.ht_capab=SHORT-GI-40
uci set wireless.radio1.ht_capab=SHORT-GI-40
uci commit wireless

None of the fixes above work. (WA801ND) In desperate need of a solution...
