Description

In asterisk 1.8 on Attitude Adjustment sip regiser string doesnt work:
In sip.conf under [general] add a register definition:

Format:
register => user[:secret[:authuser]]@host[:port][/extension]

identical configuration works in previous version (Backfire). Asterisk simply
wont register with provider.

Same problem with Asterisk 11

I am a bit confused, if you are using Trunk or Attitude adjustment. Asterisk 11 is available on Trunk (Barrier Breaker).

Does it happen on Trunk (Barrier Breaker) or on Attitude adjustment?

Can this be a configuration issue?
the latest asterisk11 sample sip.conf shows:
; Format for the register statement is:
; register => [peer?][transport://]user[@domain][:secret[:authuser]]@host[:port][/extension][~expiry]

I have on my asus rt-n16 with trunk asterisk-11 running with a tls registration :)

Maybee you can search the internet for your provider and a new registration string (related the used asterisk version)

By the way: are any logfiles available? which provider?

Similar issue has been fixed on current Trunk (Barrier Breaker). Would you be so kind to try it there to clarify, if it is the same issue or if it is something new?

Thank you.

And the logfiles are accessible within directory /var/log/asterisk.

It is not configuration issue, it is bug.
For now I will skip Attitude Adj. and use Backfire, when Barrier Breaker becomes final will try again.
Thx for answers.
