#14036 new defect

block-mount does not recognise hfsplus file system

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Chaos Calmer 15.05
Component: packages Version: Trunk
Keywords: Cc: blogic@…

Description

At r37769 block info does not recognise a hfsplus formatted partition.

root@OpenWrt:~# block info
/dev/mtdblock2: UUID="17723aa3-c7355187-6b6df978-f664634a" VERSION="4.0" TYPE="squashfs"
/dev/mtdblock3: TYPE="jffs2"
/dev/sda1: UUID="3653c131-07ba-47b5-9062-2ca188b13df0" VERSION="1.0" TYPE="ext2"

whereas blkid is able to

root@OpenWrt:~# blkid
/dev/mtdblock2: TYPE="squashfs"
/dev/sda1: UUID="3653c131-07ba-47b5-9062-2ca188b13df0" TYPE="ext2"
/dev/sdb1: UUID="add7bb8f-3636-3668-a260-3aa5cc3b7855" LABEL="TimeMachine" TYPE="hfsplus"

Ultimately mounting this partition from /etc/config/fstab does not work whereas mounting manually (mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/TimeMachine) does.

Same here! :(

Ditto here on r38987 running on ar71xx. Block mount does not "see" the hfsplus device, while manual mounting does work.
