please, explain closing this issue - could I add mine solution to the souce tree?

seems, this is the same case /ticket/13138.html

comment:3 Changed 5 years ago by anonymous

ou, it is limitaion of ash - could we just add newline to the file in some lua script, before executing ash /etc/firewall.user?

No #13138 is not even remotely related, it was triggered by referencing internal chains. Just because two tickets meantion "firewall.user" it does not mean that they correlate.

No, we can't simply add a newline to some Lua script. Simply write proper include files or use a sane editor, vi for example will ensure a final trailing newline.

I do use vi ... and why we shoudn't add to /etc/init.d/firewall simple test for newline char in the EOF /etc/firewall.user?

about #13138 - beside the fact that certain rule used is horribly wrong, the command for the rule does pleaced in the very last line of the /etc/firewall.user file! And this is the case - last line wasn't executed.
