IPv6 has QoS built in. There's no need to mangle packets in IPv6 anymore.

Perhaps for full-duplex links it's not needed. I'm on async dsl, so uploading data saturates the link, making latency jump up to several thousand ms. qos-scripts in openwrt fixes this with IPv4. If an upload happens over IPv6 now all low-latency dependent things can't really be used (imagine VoIP with 2000ms latency and horrible jitter).

Maybe I've configured something wrong with IPv6 though, as it's all a bit new to me. If so, then this is a matter for the forums and this ticket can be closed.

The way I understand it, IPv6 does not have QoS built in. It has headers that are bit more descriptive to aid in QoS prioritization. And according to my own testing, a file transfer over an IPv6 connection will saturate my cable connection regardless or QoS settings. And one over an IPv4 connection will not.
It isn't a half/full-duplex related issue.
