#13664 new defect

AR71xx when re-plugging USBstick a new /dev/sd* is created (continuos with the patch)

Reported by: Juan.C@… Owned by: developers
Priority: highest Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: packages Version: Attitude Adjustment 12.09
Keywords: USB, overlay Cc:

Description

My configuration is:

  • OpenWrt Attitude Adjustment 12.09 / LuCI 0.11.1 Release (0.11.1)
  • TP-LINK TL-WDR3600/4300/4310
  • Kernel 3.3.8

My USB ext-root sometimes changes from /dev/sda to /dev/sdb (re-plugging USBstick?) without doing anything, and the system is working but the /overlays is mounted in read-only.

I have tried to unmount /overlay, but it is not possible, I have to reboot the system to restore the previous state.
