There is no need to report the same message for every revision and model.

Replying to jow:

There is no need to report the same message for every revision and model.

i found the reason.
file target/linux/ar71xx/patches-3.8/902-unaligned_access_hacks.patch (created just on 2013/04/22) contains the following lines:

--- a/include/uapi/linux/in.h
+++ b/include/uapi/linux/in.h
@@ -55,7 +55,7 @@ enum {
 /* Internet address. */
 struct in_addr {
  __be32  s_addr;
-};
+} __attribute__((packed, aligned(2)));

 #define IP_TOS   1
 #define IP_TTL   2

this change affects only the linux headers in the build_dir/target-mips_r2_uClibc-0.9.33.2/linux-ar71xx_generic/linux-3.8.13/, but not toolchain headers (build_dir/toolchain-mips_r2_gcc-4.6-linaro_uClibc-0.9.33.2/ and staging_dir/toolchain-mips_r2_gcc-4.6-linaro_uClibc-0.9.33.2/)

there are two ways:

  1. make appropriate changes also in the toolchain (i dont know which ones).
  2. just delete those lines wih patch:

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

Should be fixed with r37223 - requires a complete toolchain rebuild.

sash-kan: good spot - thank you!
