mdadm can't work

my router using r36033
and i install mdadm to create raid in my router
when i type Y to continue the process
i get answer like this

mdadm: unexpected failure opening /dev/md0

but,there are md0 in /dev/
and,there are no file name mdstat in /proc/

same problem for me when trying to create a mirror between two usb sticks.
maybe there is some kernel module missing ?

mdadm works just fine for me. You need to install kernel support for RAID in order for this to work.

Yay, nitpickers on the internet.
Of course he was missing the md support in kernel, but congrats for giving the least possible amount of info about it.

And congrats it works just fine for you.
