Reported by: mgerzsenyi@… Owned by: developers

Description

Hi everybody!

I'm trying to make a quite big system with WDR3600 router. I want to use a lots of modules so i decided to make it extroot. A selected the modules, and while a build the kernel there's an error :

[mktplinkfw] * error: images are too big
It should not be an error because i use extroot, but I cannot boot any of built images with following errors:

openwrt-ar71xx-generic-uImage-gzip.bin -- Uncompressing Kernel Image ... Too big uncompressed streamLZMA ERROR 1 - must RESET board to recover

openwrt-ar71xx-generic-uImage-lzma.bin -- Uncompressing Kernel Image ... Too big uncompressed streamLZMA ERROR 1 - must RESET board to recover

openwrt-ar71xx-generic-vmlinux.bin -- Uncompressing Kernel Image ... OK

Starting kernel ... HANGS

openwrt-ar71xx-generic-vmlinux-lzma.elf -- -- Uncompressing Kernel Image ... OK

Starting kernel ... HANGS

Please help :)
Thanks for help, Marcell Gerzsenyi

So you forced the system to build an image despite it telling you that it is too big and now you wonder that it does not work? To me it looks like your images do not boot because the Kernel image exceeded a bootloader dictated size limit, thats what mktplinkfw was trying to tell.

If I only want to place the kernel image in the flash memory (rootfs on ext usb drive), it will not work?
