#13153 new defect

revision #35953, full build of hostapd.
Two bugs, maybe related, longer time ago:

  1. hostapd -veap should return 0 if compiled with EAP Support. Returns 1 and the script (/usr/lib/lua/luci/model/cbi/admin_network/wifi.lua) has to be modified to get WPA-EAP option in Web Configurator.
  1. The Radius attribute 85, radius_acct_interim_interval is ignored even sent by Radius Server (checked by tcpdump)

  • Priority changed from normal to response-needed

Point 1 works fine for me:

root@uplink:~# opkg remove wpad-mini
Removing package wpad-mini from root...
root@uplink:~# opkg install wpad
Installing wpad (20130302-1) to root...
Configuring wpad.
root@uplink:~# hostapd -veap; echo $?
root@uplink:~# opkg remove wpad
Removing package wpad from root...
root@uplink:~# opkg install wpad-mini
Installing wpad-mini (20130302-1) to root...
Configuring wpad-mini.
root@uplink:~# hostapd -veap; echo $?

Point 2 is totally unclear to me, no idea what you mean with that.

Thanks for the reply.

For me, point 1:

~# opkg list-installed hostapd
hostapd - 20120910-1
~# hostapd -veap; echo $?

It is compiled from trunk as mentioned, full version. If I change script manually I am able to configure WPA2-EAP and use it successfully. If I don't change the script and do let me say upgrade firmware, the system is able to use WPA2-EAP until configured via Web interface where the option is missing and after applying new configuration the Wifi Security is reset to "None". I can try to use wpad full.

Point 2:
I am using WPA Enterprise Infrastructure with Freereadius for authenticating and accounting. The system is not accepting Radius Reply attribute (sent in Radius Reply) "radius_acct_interim_interval" which is defining frequency how often the accounting packets are sent. If I change the script /lib/wifi/ and add line 'append "$var" "radius_acct_interim_interval=300" "$N"' the accounting packets are send every 300 seconds properly to Radius Server.

Replying to jow:

Point 1 works fine for me:

Point 2 is totally unclear to me, no idea what you mean with that.
