#13148 new defect

WiFi consistently hangs on Netgear WNDR3700

Reported by: Marc <mfini@…> Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: base system Version: Attitude Adjustment 12.09 Beta
Keywords: Cc:

Description

I run Attitude Adjustment RC1 on a WNDR3700v2 and I consistently experience issues on wifi after some time the router is up.
When this happens, new connections are not accepted and existing ones are estremely slow (a few Kbps). The only option is a reboot.
My setup is fairly complex, with VLANs etc but I experience the same even if i revert to a vanilla configuration, which points to wifi drivers. The problems seems to happen faster when the device is routing an IPCAM stream between VLANs, which seems the issue might be related to heavy activity.
However, CPU activity and memory consumption stay very low, so it does not seem tobe related to starvation or memory leaks.
NOTE1: the IPCAM stream is not on Wifi but from a wired connection
NOTE2: I experienced the same with Backfire, which was the primary reason to switch to AA.
I can provide more details if needed
