#129 closed defect (fixed)

tcpdump doesn't support IPv6 addresses

Reported by: jakllsch@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: 1.0-rc5
Component: packages Version: 1.0
Keywords: IPv6 tcpdump libpcap Cc:

root@router:~# tcpdump -s0 -pni eth0 net 2001:db8::/32
Open RING [fd=-1]
tcpdump: IPv6 address 2001:db8:: not supported

This occurs both in 1.0_RC4 and in r2601. This functionality works on my desktop Gentoo and NetBSD boxes. I'm not sure if this problem is related to libpcap or tcpdump.
