#12880 new defect

ath9k Multi-SSID: Switching from one SSID to another causes association failures

Reported by: daniel@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: packages Version: Attitude Adjustment 12.09 Beta
Keywords: Cc:

On some kind of Mac and and iPhone (trying to find out from the tester, what kind of Mac and iPhone are affected)
with multiple SSIDs on the same router,

1 connect to one SSID
2 disconnect
3 connecting to another SSID on the same router
4 disconnect
5 connecting to a third SSID on the same router

sometimes on the switch between 1 and 2, and always if continued for a few rounds, the client will fail to associate with the router.

Repeating the association attempt will usually succeed on the second try if it failed on the first.

Association should not fail

Is the EAPOL patch still in hostapd? Similar issues were solved in the past by clearing the cache (which wasn't happening as it ought to have).

AA rc1 (r34815) + all wireless patches to r35148

rc1 is much worse and experiences much more severe issues with the same test.
