#12856 closed defect (fixed)

[IPv6] odhcpv6 stops working after 3-5 minutes can't use ipv6

Reported by: ipipv6 Owned by: developers
Priority: high Milestone: Chaos Calmer 15.05
Component: packages Version: Trunk
Keywords: ipv6 buffalo wbmr odhcpv6 Cc:

Description

Trunk build r35251
Buffalo WBMR

Installed only ipv6-support without additional configuration.
Everything works fine at boot I get IPv4 and IPv6 (luci says I am not connected to ipv6 but actually I am) and doing a test I have a working ipv6 stack.
After 3-5 I can't reach anything in ipv6, luci says I am not connected in ipv4 and ipv6 but I can ping ipv4 hosts and internet works fine.
Also, I can't stop my connection from luci under Network tab, it does nothing.
Logging in SSH I noticed that I am still able to reach ipv6 hosts from the router but not from the LAN.

I think something is wrong with odhcpv6.

From system log:

Thanks for reporting. I have confirmed the bug.
It's actually not in odhcp6c but in netifd. I'm on it. Hope I will get a fix out soon.

I just commited a fix in r35259. Please retry with this version.

Thank you cyrus!
I'll compile it and let you know.

Now I can connected to more than 3-5 minutes so I think it's fixed.
Bad news is after a while my connection (ipv4 and ipv6) dropped and when I got a new ip (both ips) I can't ping any ipv6 hosts.

Luci still shows not connected in the ipv6 wan status so I will report this with another ticket.

edit:
After I got the new ip, luci doesn't show which dns I am using(I can resolve nameserver though).
I just noticed some fix to 6relayd after 35259 trunk version.. in 3 hours I'm going to compile another build :)

While writing the previous comment, I tried to ping the ipv6 and now with the new ips I can reach ipv6 hosts.. so I think is fixed.

I will build another trunk anyway.. so for now I think this ticket should be marked as FIXED!

tranks cyrus
