#12807 new defect

Add module ltq-hcd-danube to directory /etc/modules-boot.d/

Reported by: mazoyer.gilles@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: packages Version: Trunk
Keywords: extroot lantiq danube ltq-hcd-danube Cc:

Description

Hello,

I have a modem SMC 7908, and when trying to have rootfs on a USB flash drive (extroot), i found that i have to load kernel module ltq-hcd-danube manually, in order for my USB flash driver to be detected in preinit phase.
So i think it would be a good idea to have kernel module ltq-hcd-danube, listed in directory /etc/modules-boot.d, as it is listed in directory /etc/modules.d

Gilles

Sorry i create a defect ticket instead of an enhancement ticket

The same issue with Lantiq target, but in the others seems that the usb driver is correctly loaded in /etc/modules-boot.d

A workaround is cp /etc/modules.d/50-ltq-hcd-danube /etc/modules-boot.d/ and works perfect, but it could be a good idea to add the module in /etc/modules-boot in the compilation like, in example, in BCM63XX, if it can be done.
