#12771 closed defect (obsolete)

failed to add my owm kmod-*

Reported by: stephan.oelze@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Chaos Calmer 15.05
Component: kernel Version: Trunk
Keywords: dvb kmod kernelmodule Cc:

Description

As i tried to use my kmod-dvb-* to trunk it fails to build.
It seems as they arent "activated" in KCONFIG by buildroot.
On aa it has worked just fine.

Here an example what the dvb.mk looks like in package/kernel/modules

DVB_MENU:=DVB_Drivers

define KernelPackage/dvb-core
  SUBMENU:=$(DVB_MENU)
  TITLE:=DVB core support
  DEPENDS:=+kmod-i2c-core
  KCONFIG:= \
	CONFIG_MEDIA_SUPPORT \
	CONFIG_DVB_CORE \
	CONFIG_DVB_CAPTURE_DRIVERS=y \
	CONFIG_MEDIA_TUNER_CUSTOMIZE=y \
	CONFIG_DVB_FE_CUSTOMISE=y \
	CONFIG_DVB_DYNAMIC_MINORS=n \
	CONFIG_CRC32
  FILES:=$(LINUX_DIR)/drivers/media/dvb/dvb-core/dvb-core.$(LINUX_KMOD_SUFFIX)
  AUTOLOAD:=$(call AutoLoad,60,dvb-core)
endef

define KernelPackage/dvb-core/description
 Kernel module for DVB support
endef

define KernelPackage/dvb-core/install
	$(INSTALL_DIR) $(1)/etc/hotplug.d/dvb
	$(INSTALL_BIN) ./files/10-dvb $(1)/etc/hotplug.d/dvb/
endef

$(eval $(call KernelPackage,dvb-core))

  • Resolution set to obsolete
  • Status changed from new to closed

since kernel v3.7 the Kconfig symbols changed. you will at least need to add MEDIA_DIGITAL_TV_SUPPORT to make it work plus probably some more symbols
