Lantiq/Danube - Build of Trunk fails

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Chaos Calmer 15.05
Component: base system Version: Trunk
Keywords: Lantiq Danube BT Home Hub Cc:

Description

I use a BT Home Hub V2B which is based on the Lantiq Danube-S PSB 50712 chipset. I usually build from Trunk. My most recent successful build was r34672 on Dec 13th.

Today I did a 'svn up' and 'make'. The build failed almost immediately. I did 'make menuconfig' and discovered that none of the BT Home Hub can be selected at build targets.

Explanation in https://lists.openwrt.org/pipermail/openwrt-devel/2012-December/017927.html

BT Home Hub V2B is mentioned as a device with still lacking support in the new build config.

This will impact a lot of people in the UK and Ireland. Can you point me to an uncompiled devicefile for a similar Lantiq Danube based device, please? I may be able to use it as a template to help make one for the BT Home Hub devices.

hold your horses ... trunk is bleeding edge, expect it to be broken at times.

if you want a production version use AA.

if you want bleeding edge, wait a couple of days for the board file

Happy to wait for the inclusion of the BT hubs with Kernel 3.7 but the AA builds of any of the BT Hubs that I have tried (which is all of them, afaik) do not actually boot on the BT devices, something of a show stopper.

For those who have arrived here searching for answers, a bootable build of Trunk, r34672 from 13-Dec, can be found here: http://rapidshare.com/files/2810600623/openwrt-lantiq-danube-BTHOMEHUBV2B-squashfs-34672.image see http://www.psidoc.com/showthread.php/495-OpenWRT-on-HHV2B

Hello,

I wonder if there has been any progress in creating device files for any of the BT Hubs? I would like to try to build trunk. Many thanks!

I would love to see devicetree files for this device as well!
I think it's a wide-spread device anyway....

Hi, I'm just adding my name to the list of those who would love to see support for BT Home Hubs in current trunk. Many thanks!
