Description

Arch: ar71xx
Mach: Netgear WNDR3700v2
kernel: 3.6.7
Revision: r34381

Hi,
Since I started to use 3.6 kernels, usbfs is not mounted. But this doesn't happen with the same revision but with 3.3.8 kernel. lsusb output is ok.
Is this behaviour correct?

usbfs has been deprecated in recent kernels, so usbreset needs a rewrite.

Hi,

I have a similar problem with usbreset so I'm posting here. usbreset doesn't seem to find one of my devices, but lsusb does.
I'm looking to reset Bus 001 Device 003: ID 1941:8021 Dream Link WH1080 Weather Station / USB Missile Launcher
I've also got a WNDR3700v2 running kernel 3.3.8
see outputs below.
Any suggestions or comments are welcome. Thanks!

root@OpenWrt:~# usbreset
Usage:

usbreset PPPP:VVVV - reset by product and vendor id
usbreset BBB/DDD - reset by bus and device number
usbreset "Product" - reset by product name

Devices:

Number 001/006 ID 1a40:0101 USB 2.0 Hub

root@OpenWrt:~# lsusb

Bus 001 Device 006: ID 1a40:0101 Terminus Technology Inc. 4-Port HUB

If I try and reset using the ID from lsusb I get this

root@OpenWrt:~# usbreset 001/003
