When the * option is used for boxbackup in make menuconfig and the configuration is subsequently saved, such that the following command:

The build has been configured for the NetGear WNDR3800 family of devices, but it is not specific to that family alone.

The problem is thus that boxbackup is getting compiled, but is somehow not fully transferred into the image.

boxbackup up is split up into several packages including bbstored (the server, which has a uci config) and (IIRC) bbackupd (the client, which does not have an UCI config). There are other packages as well. The package is split up this way so that router can be backup server without being a backup client and wasting precious flash (on the assumption that USB should only be used for storage not code; if you disagree you can use block-mount and put root on the storage and install all the packages, but other choose differently).

i can't use boxbackup under 12.09, with a tp-link wdr4300.

I get the failure always with the following command:
bbackupd-config /etc/boxbackup/ snapshot 1 mail2.all-haeckl.de /tmp/bbackupd /bin /etc /lib /mnt

The Failure:
-ash: bbackupd-config: not found

i had now installed all packages, but this helps nothing.
can anyone help me?
