TP-Link openwrt-ar71xx-generic-dir-825-b1-squashfs-sysupgrade 12.09 Beta - eth1 doesn't connect

Reported by: gortab@… Owned by: developers
Priority: high Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: kernel Version: Attitude Adjustment 12.09 Beta
Keywords: wan eth1 beta Cc: .ray-ven

After a sysupgrade from 10.03.1 to 12.09 eth1 (wan) won't establish a connection. Couldn't find a reason, as syslog and kernellog say eth1 is up.
Couldn't test any further be cause i need my internet. Could try an trunk image or something though

Experienced similar error on Backfire (10.03.1-RC6, r28680). Error disappeared after opening the firewall to forward all packets in general and from WAN. After that the interface behaved as expected and changing the mentioned rules back did not affect operation.

@bimbacs - this is not the same issue, because the connection on wan would be established anyways, you just wouldn't reach a website. The connection doesn't establish at all.
