Description

I just compiled a new build from trunk and I noticed there are no wan interfaces configured so I have a normal router without modem.

Please check what's going on :)

Check if there is the proper modules installed.

You can use this command:

opkg list-installed | grep dsl

You should get somethings like this

kmod-ltq-dsl-ar9 - 3.2.13+3.24.4.4-3
kmod-ltq-dsl-firmware-a-ar9 - 3.24.4.4-3
ltq-dsl-app - 3.24.4.4-1

I had a problem like this and in my case the imagebuilder miss the modem's driver.

PS. I apologize for my bad english.

They are compiled.

Now I compiled a new trunk build @33760 and I still have this problem.

I copy here the log from system log.

I have the same problem.
The interface "nas0" is created sucessfully, really it is your wan.
With "ifconfig" I saw some packets trasmitted, but I don't receive nothing.

Yes, same thing. I can see "ifconfig nas0" but it doesn't transmit anything.

I have the same error in the log:

local2.err br2684ctl[1079]: Fatal: failed to connect on socket; No such device

please call the control app manually and show us the output

/sbin/dsl_cpe_control -i -n /sbin/dsl_notify.sh -f /lib/firmware/dsl-fw-a.bin

comment:6 follow-up: Changed 5 years ago by shipe

Trunk @

DSL_CPE: using script notification file - /sbin/dsl_notify.sh
DSL_CPE: using 1st firmware file - /lib/firmware/dsl-fw-a.bin
DSL_CPE: Device /dev/dsl_cpe_api open failed!

I noticed that in LUCI there is no ATM device and under network the WAN interface.

Now I reverted to 33530.. If you need another test I'll compile another build in a couple of days.

I forgot to say that I did this test with the trunk @ 33854

Today I built teh 33901 trunk version because I saw to fix, one in linux-atm and the other in ltd-dsl-app, hoping to fix this problem... but is still there :s

Hope you guys will find a solution :)

comment:10 Changed 5 years ago by melama

Anyone have tried a newer trunk version than ferdd?

Is this router supported for kernel 3.6?

comment:11 Changed 5 years ago by xxexyr

https://dev.openwrt.org/changeset/34096/

Kernel 3.6 is work in progress :)

Hope it will fix this bug!

The missing kmod issue is likely fixed after r34106

comment:13 Changed 5 years ago by nano

There is still a problem in /etc/init.d/dsl_control
It calls /sbin/dsl_cpe_control with "-f /lib/firmware/dsl-fw-${fwannex}.bin" when it should be "/lib/firmware/ltq-dsl-fw-${fwannex}-ar9.bin".
After fixing this problem, I have a working adsl connection with r34135.

I came here to tell the same thing as nano!

The ppp bug is fixed but there is a problem with the firmware
