#12075 new defect

sane-backends fail to compile

Reported by: markuskaindl@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: packages Version: Trunk
Keywords: Cc:

compiling sane-backends aborts because mkinstalldirs exits with exit 1. This happens, because the mkinstalldirs-script in the sane-backends top_srcdir is linked to the one from automake, which doesn't know the -g Parameter sane uses.

If you remove the link and put the original mkinstalldirs-script from the sane-backends-paket in it's top_srcdir, it compiles just fine.

I don't know, why the script from the sane-backends-paket is replaced by the link and where this happens, so I am currently unable to fix it.

Strange, on my computer sane-backends compile well (I had some problems because I accidentally ran sudo make, but they're fixed by deleting "trunk" and starting from the beginning). I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 and 12.04.
