2.4Ghz network stops allowing clients to join after multi-day uptime

Description

The title basically says it all.

I have a WHR-AG300H (ar71xx w/ ath9k wireless) running trunk. I find that for the past weeks (a little over a month) clients cannot join the 2.4Ghz network anymore, however 5Ghz works fine still.

Rebooting the router or restarting 'network' via LuCI temporarily resolves this issue however it comes back within 2-3 days.

If someone can suggest a way to get more verbose output from a client I'd be happy to provide more information.

Thanks

Seems the same behavior like i described in #11894 - "Hostapd stop working - EAPOL-Key timeout"

Workaround: I'am running a "stable" network for over a week while running this script once a day. not nice or intelligent but working...

#!/bin/sh

/usr/bin/killall hostapd
sleep 1
/usr/sbin/hostapd -P /var/run/wifi-phy0.pid -B /var/run/hostapd-phy0.conf
