#11991 closed defect (fixed)

ldd function in /etc/profile always defined

Reported by: 70d7a4f46 <v.ovcacik@…> Owned by: developers
Priority: high Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: base system Version: Trunk
Keywords: ldd, profile Cc:

Description

Hi,
in /etc/profile, on the last line there is:

[ -z /bin/ldd ] || ldd() { LD_TRACE_LOADED_OBJECTS=1 $*; }

This is obviously wrong and will always lead to ldd() function. Better would be:

[ -x /bin/ldd ] || ldd() { LD_TRACE_LOADED_OBJECTS=1 $*; }
