Reported by: anonymous Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: packages Version: Trunk

Description

For some unknown reason usb printer not working unless you do this:

chmod 700 /usr/lib/cups/backend/usb

(checked on latest trunk)
Maybe setting the permissions should be done somewhere in build scripts.

Edit your /etc/hotplug2-rules.common to create device nodes with at least 700 permissions (I use 777).

I can confirm that i can only use my printer if chmod 700 /usr/lib/cups/backend/usb
The default 755 permission wont work.
