#11808 assigned defect

VLAN id 0 on untagged ports

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: juhosg
Priority: response-needed Milestone: Bugs Paradise
Component: base system Version: Trunk
Keywords: vlan Cc:

Description

I'am using TP-Link 741ND (HW rev. 1.4) and trunk r32500. I have next (attached file) configuration on my router for VLAN switching.
port №1 - my new WAN port
port №2 - port for VLAN 777
port №3,4 - ports for Internet via NAT

With this configuration from ports 3 and 4 I have ethernet frames with VLAN ID=0 (ports 3 and 4 - untagged ports in my configuration). Why? Windows 7 and Vista works fine, but in Windows XP I have problem. Windows XP can not properly handle such frames.

Yes, I'm using trunk: Linux OpenWrt 3.6.10 Fri Dec 14 18:17:41 PST 2012 mips GNU/Linux; BARRIER BREAKER (Bleeding Edge, r34679)

This bug is present also on Android devices, but Windows Phone 7.5 works fine.
