Hi,

I have downloaded the openwrt/trunk code base and run the following command... make menuconfig V=99 which seems to hit some error pasted below... can someone suggest what might be the problem.

Run it under bash. Seems your shell does not understand the used constructs.

Looking at the errors again it seems your checked out source code contains windows newlines (\r\n).

Fix your scm client to use unix newlines or, if you checked the code out on windows and transferred it to linux, check it out on linux instead.
