Component: base system Version: Trunk
Keywords: wan wndr3700 no connection internet Cc:

Description

Hi!

I was studying problems with no internet connection on WAN port but didnt find any solution.
My WNDR3700v2 is working fine (connected to other modems/routers in my friend places), its working fine even at my place when i connect it through additional router.
It's NOT working when i connect it directly to my ISP cable.

I was trying:
/etc/init.d/network restart,
connecting and disconneting cable.

Routers is working fine using manufacturer firmware.

Ive made a mistake. It's not a TRUNK, it's Backfire 10.03.1 (30018) with Gargoyle 1.5.3.

Who is your cable provider? Some cable providers (mostly Charter) have very finicky DHCP servers. Charter seems to rate-limit DHCP requests and will refuse to assign you an IP if you exceed that limit. The udhcpc parameters can be tweaked to work better in such an event.
