#10846 new defect

Forwarding wan -> lan doesn't apply if wan uses a static alias interface

Reported by: Alan Grow <alangrow+openwrt@…> Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: base system Version: 10.03.1
Keywords: Cc:

Description

Please see the attached config files.

I set up an always-available static alias interface on the wan network, as described here: http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/uci/network#aliases

Forwarding from lan -> wan works, but for some reason the firewall script doesn't apply the wan -> lan forwarding rule. Maybe the alias interface (eth0:1) throws off the /lib/firewall/uci_firewall.sh script?

A workaround in /etc/firewall.user is to add the zone_wan_forward rule manually.

Thanks,

-Alan
