hardware AR5212a minipci card on a x86 computer running backfire 10.0.3.1....

wlan0: associate with (mac address) (try 1)

wlan0: authenticated

madwifi is not possible on the ar5212 card because openwrt uses a very old revision which gives unable to reset channel error

ath5k driver is unstable with error from above... the madwifi used by openwrt is old and has a lot unable to reset hardware error.......

so there is no driver to use on my openwrt box as of now anyone can help..

i found a workaround by killing wpa-supplicant and changing encryption to wpa2 aes....

okay tried backfire svn at revision r30752 problem persist i had setup the router in repeater mode ap+sta

first test- it was connected to another ap in station mode and brodcasted ap with thte same

the connection was very unstable it kept deauthenticating and authenticating with client and also pc would lose connection to repeated ap here is the kernel log

wlan0: authenticated

second test in only client mode removed ap it did the same

br-lan: port 2(wlan0) entering disabled state
