Description

Based on the source code here http://www.elite.uk.com/mike/qf9700/ I have made 2 patches to add support for usb network card based on qf9700 chipset (http://www.qftec.net/en/index.asp).

These are the cheapest usb network card you can found on ebay and other online retailers. Perfect if you want to add a low speed network port on single port routers like TP-LINK WR703N. Note that you probably will only get 1 MB/s throughput with this chipset but its more than enough for remote access, voip etc.

The patch is tested on AR71xx system with linux 2.6.39.4. I don't have the hardware yet but the module built and loaded just fine on my WR703N.

To use the patches:

copy qf9700.patch to target/linux/generic/patches-2.6.39/970-
qf9700.patch from the openwrt root folder

apply qf9700-package.patch to patch package/kernel/modules/usb.mk

add CONFIG_PACKAGE_kmod-usb-net-qf9700=y in your .config file and do a make clean and make

Tested on r28854
