#10278 closed defect (wontfix)

Missing or changed LED configuration after sysupgrade, while keeping config files

Reported by: ferob Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: base system Version: Trunk
Keywords: missing changed config sysupgrade Cc:

Description

Some of the options change or get removed when you keep the configuration files and do a sysupgrade.

While keeping /etc/system with configured (e.g. WAN, USB and WPS) LED options and using a sysupgrade image, which has different configured options (name, interval etc.) for these (or for some of them), then it changes the options (name, interval) to the new ones and removes which are not in the image (e.g. if the WPS LED is not configured in the image, then it completely removes the WPS LED config section).

The problem only appears when you do a sysupgrade.
When doing a restore after the sysupgrade, the configs are back again.
I'm using a Netgear WNDR3700.

Also the sysupgrade recreates the same led configs and duplicate the ones that was already there.

You have to resync your files from time to time - the versions in rom can be used as template.
