...your devices should be eth0.

Correct, tnx.

Use forum before open thicket here.

I posted here a link to forum topic I opened and didn't get help...

Since this WIFI ADSL router with 4 lan ports is brand new target supported by OpenWrt it could be that the developers forgot to include switch config option in generic target definition...

After I added:

config 'switch' 'eth0'
        option 'enable' '0'
        option 'enable_vlan' '0'
        option 'reset' '1'

I got Swtich tab under Network config section!

IMHO this switch config option should be integrated for this target.

I have tried to configure a simple VLAN trough this switch tab and after committing the changes I lost the network - totally unreachable...

This should be fixed - guess this has to do with default switch definition for this platform/target:

From boot log:

eth0: ADM6996M model PHY found.
eth0: attached PHY [Infineon ADM6996] (phy_addr=0:00, irq=-1)

Lantiq - Danube - SIEMENS GIGASET SX763 http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/gigaset/sx76x

If further assistance needed please contact me.

  • Resolution set to invalid
  • Status changed from new to closed

Nothing should be fixed since there is no swconfig support for the ADM6996 in the first place. This is also the reason why there is no switch config tab in the web ui and no switch section in the network configuration.

Since the original issue is totally unrelated to LuCI I'll close this ticket as invalid. Please open a separate feature request for tracking the ADM9669 swconfig support on the Lantiq target.
