#10118 new defect

gphoto2 and EOS 350 no capture AND download possible

Reported by: dg8ygz@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Barrier Breaker 14.07
Component: packages Version: Backfire 10.03.1 RC4
Keywords: Cc:

I've installed gphoto2 via

opkg update

opkg install gphoto2 kmod-usb2 libgphoto2-drivers libusb usbutils

The camera is detected by gphoto2 as a Canon:EOS 350D (normal mode).

Capturing a picture and saving it onto the flash-drive of the cam works so far. Seperate download also sometimes after resetting the cam a lot of times. But --capture-image-and-download doesn't work at all. Gphoto2 comes up with an
Detected a 'Canon:EOS 350D (normal mode)'.
ERROR: Could not capture image.
* Error (-114: 'OS error in camera communication') *

The same command on a fresh Ubuntu 10.04-Installation works like a charm, so the Cam and software are able to work together.

I've upgraded from gphoto-2.4.9 to 2.4.11 without any success, still the same errors (if anyone interessed, the patched patches for upgrade to 2.4.11 can be found at , also my package-dir).

I'm not much into linux and coding. Can anyone help me please to get into the right direction ? I don't want to burn 20W for a Laptop for capturing images....
