Description

Have USB 3.5G modem called "HSDPA 3.5G Wireless Modem" from Hong Kong. It needs to have its info put into the options module, I think. USB ID: 0685:7000. I don't have any other info for this modem.

Thanks,

Perazim

See ticket #9730. for this modem i have to add its vid and pid do usb-serial and option drivers.
add vendor=0x0685 product=0x0700 to your /etc/modules.d/60-usb-serial reboot the router and do a echo "0685 7000" > /sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/option1/new_id and only then plug the modem. This modem is very stable having it connect for more than 8 days.

I think you mean product=0x7000?

I used /dev/ttyUSB0 for the modem. Is this the correct port?

I did this and it connected once. The luci Network, Interfaces, WAN got stuck updating firewall and I had to had restart. After that no more connections. I have a known good/working Alcatel USB modem so I know the rest of the configuration is correct and working.

It's product=0x7000, sorry.

Port /dev/ttyUSB0 for modem.

After the changes and only after all changes i mentioned you can plug the modem, if u restart your router u have to unplug and plug it again.
