#10011 new enhancement

Requesting priority bits support for VLAN 4k in rtl8366rb

Reported by: blindbox Owned by: developers

Description

Is it possible to add priority bits support for this device? I took a look in the source code and it seems that vlan_mc (I assume this are for vlans between 0 and 15) has priority configs while vlan4k does not (I was reading rtl8366_smi.h).

The main reason I'm asking is because my ISP insists on a VLAN priority of 0 and vlan id of 600 for the IPTV to work. The priority bit defaults to 1 on openwrt, however.

Device is TL-WR1043ND, on rtl8366rb switch.

#7977 has some interesting patches (rtl8366rb.3.patch) but I fear bricking the device when I apply it. My device already has a serial interface, but the problem is that I can only freely brick this device sometime at 2 AM (big family, and a lot of them stay up real late), limiting my testing time.
