#7048 closed defect (fixed)

dnsmasq fails to start when there is space in hostname field

Reported by: pyther@… Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Backfire 10.03
Component: packages Version: Backfire 10.03 RC2
Keywords: Cc:

Description

My hostname entry looks like this:

Hostname: IP Address

tux 192.168.1.2

m2n web.mythtv 192.168.1.12

The following works in Kamikaze, however in backfire dnsmasq fails to start. logread has the following
Mar 30 02:16:15 OpenWrt daemon.crit dnsmasq[1049]: bad command line option: try --help

Mar 30 02:16:15 OpenWrt daemon.crit dnsmasq[1049]: FAILED to start up

To fix the issue, I just used m2n for the hostname. However, I don't want to lose this functionality.
