#6820 closed enhancement (fixed)

Updated wide-dhcpv6 package

Reported by: Andrew Byrne <openwrt@…> Owned by: developers
Priority: normal Milestone: Backfire 10.03
Component: packages Version: Trunk
Keywords: wide-dhcpv6 ipv6 dhcpv6 Cc:

Description

I notice you recently added the wide-dhcpv6 package to OpenWRT. I have been developing a package for this for several months, and it's significantly more advanced than the one you are using.

Mine includes UCI config file support, and the ability to update the DNS servers used by dnsmasq if DNS servers are provided by the DHCPv6 client. Hotplug scripts also automate a lot of things such as restarting radvd.

It also provides basic UCI config support for the DHCPv6 server.

Both the client and server have been tested for several months by myself and other clients of Internode (an Australian ISP offering dual-stack ADSL services).

The latest stable package can be found at SVN repo http://nativev6.googlecode.com/svn/packages/wide-dhcpv6

Please do a diff from your SVN and attach the diff to this ticket. I think this is easier for the developers...

I have attached a patch.

It replaces the current wide-dhcpv6 package with my version, except I kept the existing noyywrap patch as it's cleaner than mine.
