Here's my /etc/config/wireless:

root@Gateway:/etc/config# cat wireless

config 'wifi-device' 'radio0'
        option 'type' 'mac80211'
        option 'channel' '5'
        option 'macaddr' 'MACADDR_FILTERED'
       option 'hwmode' '11g'
        option 'disabled' '0'
# option 'country' 'FI'
        option 'txpower' '19'

config 'wifi-iface'
        option 'device' 'radio0'
        option 'network' 'lan'
        option 'mode' 'ap'
        option 'ssid' 'SSID_FILTERED'
        option 'encryption' 'wpa2'
        option 'server' 'RADIUSSERVER_IPADDR_FILTERED'
        option 'port' '1812'
        option 'key' 'PASSWORD_FILTERED'
        option 'nasid' 'NASID_FILTERED'

I remarked country because I first thought that it was causing this but I was mistaken.. I filtered out some information..

I have a wrt54gl , is that different enough to justify opening another bug ?
I had exactly the same problem, and it was simply because the 'macaddr' option was wrongly filled by default.
Why does it put a default mac value that looks like a real one but is not the good one ? That is quite confusing :)

I tried to look up what supported this device :
b43-phy0: Broadcom 4712 WLAN found
which is different than mine :
b43-phy0: Broadcom 5352 WLAN found

but all the b43 device list has are 43xx numbers, so the number above looks completely worthless.
http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43/devices
Is that list badly outdated or does it just use a different number ?
